Road Construction Project to Bring Major Improvements for Woodhavyn Residents

Woodhavyn in Magnolia is one of the signature projects MAK Development is part of creating. Hardin Store Road serves as a vital connector for the area and there is a major road construction project now underway bringing transportation improvements.

The 2025 Hardin Store Road construction project in Montgomery County (Precinct 2) is well underway, focusing on reconstruction and widening to improve safety. The project includes significant widening to handle increased traffic. When complete, this work will improve access for residents and emergency vehicles.

As of early 2026, work includes excavation for storm sewers and drainage improvements between Dobbin Hufsmith and FM 2978. The project is a major 2025 road bond initiative aimed at enhancing traffic flow.

The project spans 4.3 miles, with active construction on the section from Dobbin Hufsmith heading west. As of January 2026, crews are focused on underground utilities, including setting manholes and excavating for storm sewer lines, which may cause minimal visible, surface-level progress.
